First T-Ball Game

This morning was the first T-ball game. Having played T-ball myself it was not at all what I had expected. When I was a kid you played T-ball just like you play baseball/softball but you hit off a T. This was more like organized chaos. Each team every player bats and runs the bases. The other team that is fielding has all the kids and some parents in the infield. All the kids run after the ball and often end up in a pile-up to get the ball. It was a sight to behold.
Lady Bug was all smiles to watch her Bub-e (the Boss) play ball.

First was warm-ups where he tossed a ball with an older kid.

He is a head taller than all the other kids on the team. It is 3-5 year olds and he is the oldest and tallest.

This is what Lady Bug did the whole game.

The infield during the game. The Boss is on first.

A highlight of the game was seeing 3 of these fly over.

Kindergarten Musical

Last night was the Kindergarten musical. It was really sweet to see all of the kids sing. The Boss had a speaking part and although he had practiced forever he ran through it really fast.

BIG WEEKEND AHEAD

This weekend is absolutely full. We have a Kindergarten musical this evening. Tomorrow morning is the Boss's first T-ball game. We have a birthday party for a friend on both Saturday and Sunday. I have a feeling I am going to be worn out after all of this.

We have a new tooth!

Bet you are wondering why my little lady is getting a tooth so early. Well it isn't my little ladybug that has a tooth coming in. It is th Boss. He has a big boy tooth coming in but the baby tooth hasn't vacated the premises yet. (Just like his Mommy was back in the day!) I had to have 4 of my teeth pulled by a Dentist cause my big teeth were coming in. I am hoping that his tooth loosens and there is no Dentist involved in the process. We shall see. My little boy is just growing up so fast. I can't wait for the tooth fairy to come visit. What is the going rate for a tooth anyway?

It's T-Ball Time!

This past year for Christmas we got little man a bat, some balls, and a T so that he could learn how to play T-Ball. In January I signed him up for the 3-5 year old T-Ball league. Yesterday was his first practice. Lets just say that he towers over the other kids. Which we are thinking will be good cause maybe he will get a good position and get a lot of practice. The assistant coach thought that he was one of the other kids older brother's when he went up to him. The practice went well. He throws well, bats pretty well, but we need to work on his catching. His first game is this next weekend and I can't wait to see all those little ones run around and try to play. Here are some pics of his first practice. The ladybug and I watched the little man play.

Can I Make You A Drink?

The other night my sweet little man decided he wanted to share with Mommy & Daddy. His first idea was for Daddy. He wanted to pour Daddy a nice tall glass of milk and put a peanut butter cup on the rim of the glass. He told me "You know Mom like they do with those green and yellow things on the glasses." Well I knew that Daddy would turn down a glass of milk on that occasion so I suggested he put the peanut butter cup on the glass of sweet tea that I was making for dinner. He thought that was a great idea and made sure that I used just the right glass. Daddy was most appreciative of the tea with the peanut butter cup on the rim.
After about an hour he decides he needs to show even more love and sweetness to his father. He takes a bowl and digs in the pantry. He puts in the bowl: syrup, marshmellows, mint truffle hershey's kisses and peanut butter cups. He gave this to Daddy to eat. This Daddy was not as thrilled with, but said thank you and continued to watch TV.
Little man was in such a sharing mood he decided that I had missed out and needed a treat as well. He comes in the back bedroom where I was with Lady Bug and gives me a 32oz glass almost all full of milk. In the milk he put marshmellows, syrup and a hershey's kiss. I had to let him down easy that because I have been so congested I was staying away from the white stuff. If he would be so sweet as to just go get me a large glass of tea with ice. About 20 minutes later he came back with a large glass of tea with ice and syrup, marshmellows, and a hershey's kiss. He then wanted to Cheer (A Toast). So he had the big glass of milk and I had my special tea and we toasted to a good day. Cheers!!
Anyone want to come over for a special drink?

Bubble Stubble

The other night Daddy was supervising the Boss's bath when he put his face under the water as he likes to do. He comes up with a face full of suds. The suds looked suspiciously like a beard. Here you can check out what I like to call... Bubble Stubble.

If I had planned and tried to make bubble stubble it wouldn't have turned out half that good. The things you don't plan come out the best!

2 Month Checkup

Lady Bug had her two month checkup this week. She weighed in at 10lbs 11oz and 23 inches long. That puts her in the 55% for weight and the 81st for height. Which is a big change from when my little man was that age. He was always off the chart. She was so pleasant during her checkup. She smiled and cooed at Dr. Ingraham. Everything was great. She even impressed the Dr. by pulling her head and chest up while laying on her tummy. I told the Dr. I think she will be an early mover cause she already tries to get where she wants to go. Everything went well UNTIL it was time for her shots. She was happy right up until that needle went in...then her brow scrunched up and her whole head turned bright red...and she let out the biggest scream out of that little body. She didn't stop screaming either. She continued through all 3 shots and while I put her clothes back on. The part that broke my heart was that this was when she shed her first tears and they were big ole crocodile tears. Luckily she didn't run any fever later and was not cranky or crabby. She did have two nice small little bruises on her legs though. So overall I would say her two month checkup was good, she might disagree though.

Hangin out @ 7 weeks

Here are just a few pics of Lady Bug hanging out.
