Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tonight the Boss insisted that we take Daddy out for a birthday meal. I think he just wanted to see Daddy in the big hat and eat the dessert. Everyone he saw at the restaurant he had to make sure they knew it was Daddy's birthday today!

Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you.

A Quick Dip

This afternoon we had a meeting in Galveston so we decided to take the kiddos for a little beach time before we went. It was a wonderful day at the beach. Everyone had a blast.

Bye Bye Cast!

The Boss says Bye Bye to his cast. In preparation for the day's big event I sent him to school with a marker to have his buddies decorate his cast the day before.

Today was such a crazy busy day! First thing in the morning we dropped off the Lady Bug at daycare and then the Boss and I went to the Orthopedists office to check on his progress. We got there and he sat on the table and waited right next to a little girl who broke her thumb the day before school had started. They shared war stories. Come to find out she was a week older than the Boss and about a foot shorter. When we had first gotten there her mom had said "See he isn't scared and he is older!"...come to find out he was younger. I thought that was amusing. He was a little worried about the saw at first but he quickly realized it just tickles a little.

Then he got some X-Rays and was a pro. We waited for a lot longer to get those results than I had anticipated, but made it out of there in enough time for me to rush him back to school. Oh by the way Dr. said it had healed nicely but no PE for 3 more weeks. (sidenote: I don't think he has slowed up a smidge since he has gotten the cast off no matter what we or the Dr. said.)
Got him back to school in a super hurry cause it was now the Lady Bug's turn for her checkup. Thankfully we didn't have to wait long. Her ear looked a lot better and we made it out the door with just a prescription for some rash ointment. YAY!
Got both kids to their respective Dr's both with pretty good news. Not a bad was to start a weekend.

Karate

Tonight the Boss had his first Karate class. He was so excited about it. When he found out that his best buddy from KRK was going as well he was over the moon. The two of them were so cute sitting next to each other. They learned a ready position, a kick, a punch, jump, duck and where to and not to hit someone. When he got home he tried on his uniform and practiced his newly learned moves. You couldn't have wiped that grin off his face if you tried. It was adorable. Oh and he tried to say Kidneys. It was so cute he kept saying KidsKnees. I can't wait to see him next week at class when he goes in his uniform and has his cast off. He is growing up so fast.

Worn Out

Yesterday after I picked up the kids. The Boss colored a picture and Lady Bug played with the MacNCheese box while I made dinner. Then things got quiet all of the sudden. I turned around to find this... a

When Two are Better Than One

The Lady Bug loves her bath time. The other night I gave her a washcloth to play with while I washed her hair and the rest of her. Since she hadn't been feeling well I thought she would enjoy just having some fun tub time. I finished washing her up and put my washcloth on the side of the tub. Next thing I know she is double fisting. She has one in each hand. It was the cutest thing to watch. She would squeeze them and twirl them. She would let one go and then grab the other one. She would hold them both or alternate which one she was holding. She had a blast!

The Great Wall

When most people want to build a wall they might stick to traditional building materials. Like stone, brick, morter, dry wall. Not my son!

He uses pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, clothes and toys.

Lady Bug and the Doctor

Lady Bug has been sick. We have made several visits to the Doctor's office. One to her regular Pedi and one to the Urgent Care. Tomorrow we have a follow-up with the Pedi again. Poor baby has gotten hit all at once. She has a viral infection, bacterial infection and a fungal infection and she has been miserable.
The one highlight of her visits to the Doctor's office has been... the bed cover liner thingy. She loved crumpling that paper. She had totally shredded the one at the Pedi's office and it was hard to keep her away from the one at Urgent care.
